LIBYAN DESERT GLASS #13

Libyan Desert Glass #13 measures approximately 15/16" x 9/16" x 3/16" (23.8mm x 14.3mm x 4.8mm) and weighs approximately .06 ounces (1.6 grams). Libyan Desert Glass was known in ancient Egypt.  This piece has a small shallow chip out of one side of it.  The price has been reduced accordingly.

Libyan Desert Glass is quite rare. It was known in ancient Egypt and is found in the Libyan Desert. It is a lovely High Gold color. King Tut's accoutrements wrapped in his various wrappings included a necklace with a golden Libyan Desert Glass Scarab as the center focal point.
