Brandberg Smokey Quartz Crystal #14 measures approximately 2" x 1 5/16" x 1 1/8" (52mm x 32mm x 28mm) and weighs approximately 3.0 ounces (75.0 grams). This is a Smokey Quartz with Clear Quartz, and it is a Skeletal Quartz/Fenster Quartz.. There is some breakage on this crystal, and the price has been reduced accordingly.

Brandberg Crystals are found on Brandberg Mountain in the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. They are sometimes mis-identified as Brandenberg Crystals. These are one of the most special Quartzes (especially the Amethysts and the Amethyst/Smokey Quartz Crystals) on our planet, and they are quite well-known.
Skeletal Quartz/Fenster Quartz is another specialty Quartz formation. On a face of the crystal, a "window" will form, leaving the center of the crystal with just air, and this is right underneath the crystal face. So you have a solid crystal face with a "window" of sorts underneath it; a skeleton structure. They're very unusual-looking formations. Sometimes the window opens to the outside of the crystal.
Smokey Quartz is most effective on the Solar Plexus Chakra as well as the Minor Chakras of the Hands and Feet. (Every healer knows the Chakras of the Hand and Feet are not Minor Chakras!) It dispels negative emotions (anger, resentment, and negative thought patterns), emotional blockages, and negative energy. This crystal also provides excellent protection and grounding. It's a very good crystal to use for meditation. This crystal's energy is gentle, and it takes time to do its work.
